Like any church, the Adventure could not function—nor be the friendly and welcoming environment it is—without those who serve on these various ministry teams. Check them out and see if any are a good fit for you!

  • Adventure teams

Adventure Teams are both behind the scenes and on the front lines every Sunday. They, along with the Connect Team, are the "face" of the Adventure, interacting with all the people God leads to our church. Each Sunday the teams prepare the facility and parking lot for services, greet people, provide coffee, and support the service through ushering. Adventure Teams are a great first step into getting to know people and experiencing the biblical attitude and heart of service. We are looking for people that sense a desire to connect with others while supporting everyone—other teams, regular attenders and guests—in having the greatest experience with God they can have each week. If you are interested in serving on one of the weekly teams, please email

  • Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes is a ministry team of dedicated servants who make sure the Adventure facility is clean, safe and welcoming for our church family and guests to learn and grow in the Lord. The ministry is open to all anyone looking for a place to serve, and offers flexible days, times and a variety of cleaning and small handyman tasks. Many families serve on this team together, but we do ask that all children be under parental supervision while they are serving. Our main cleaning days are Saturdays and Mondays, but we can accommodate almost any schedule. Cynthia Wyatt and Vicki Weber lead this ministry, and if you would like to serve with the team please email

  • CARE

Our Care Ministry focuses on ministering to those who are hospitalized, homebound, or who have experienced a loved one passing on. We visit people at home and love up on them, as well as trying to make sure they know they are not forgotten. We help support families experiencing a loss through meals, as well as being available to assist with funerals. Sammye Hernandez leads this ministry, so if you are in need of help, or would like to help in this special ministry, please email

  • Connect

The vision of the Connect Team is to "connect everyone we come in contact with into the life of Christ and His Church". We do this by being intentional about connecting with each person that walks in and out of the Adventure, and assisting them as needed. We want to be a guide and resource to all, and our prayer is to be a tool God uses to reach His people. Tiffany Velez leads this ministry team, so if you want to be a part of helping people feel welcomed and facilitate orienting and engaging them in the life of the Adventure, please email

  • Food For the Soul

Food For The Soul is a ministry to the homeless of Salt Lake City. Every other Friday a dedicated and loving team cooks nutritious and tasty home cooked food for over 500 people living on city streets. The ministry serves "the least of these" food, shares the Gospel and prays for those they meet. It's a fantastic opportunity to Love God & Love People, speaking to them clearly that God knows them, loves them and are not forgotten. Jason Florez leads this ministry, so if you are interested in serving with Food For The Soul please email

  • Jesus FEEDS

The vision of Jesus Feeds is to supply nutritious food, as well as the hope and love of Jesus Christ, for those in need. Jesus Feeds innovated the “shopping” method of food distribution—a method the Utah food bank system has now adopted—which gives people choices, showing them we care about them as individuals with individuals needs. Each month over 1000 people receive food, the love of Christ, and a time to pray for their needs. It is a great way to "Love God & Love People" in a very practical way. If you are interested in serving in Jesus Feeds please email If you are in need of food, please call the Jesus Feed's hotline to make an appointment at 801-688-7251.

Our Sound Ministry supports a weekly dynamic and challenging “live” event on Sunday mornings, as well as assisting with special performances and events throughout the year. Their main focus is dialing in sound for the musicians and speakers, but they also assist in other ways to enhance the audio experience at the Adventure. Pete Kawamura leads and trains this ministry team, so if you are interested in joining the Sound Ministry please email Experience is preferred but not necessary.

  • Video & Lighting

The Video Ministry supports Sunday services through the production and presentation of visual media to enhance the worship and teaching, as well as manage the weekly live stream. They are also responsible for projects that are filmed and edited for viewing online or live during services or other special performances throughout the year. This ministry serves to bring to life the events of the church and workings of God so the church and community can see and share in the experience, be encouraged, and discover new opportunities and callings in their own lives. The ministry is open to new team members but there are limited openings and needs at present. But don't let that stop you from connecting with us! Gabe Kramer leads this ministry, so if you are interested please email Ages 13 and up are welcomed.
